Nothing Leaves the Building
Budapest

A retail business in Budapest wanted AI-powered video analysis to flag unusual activity after hours, but the operations director stopped the project the moment a vendor's proposal mentioned uploading footage to a third-party cloud AI service with vaguely described data handling terms.
She had read enough about cloud video analytics providers reserving broad rights to use uploaded footage for "service improvement" that she wasn't willing to send months of her stores' interior footage to a company whose data practices she couldn't fully audit. At the same time, she genuinely wanted the capability: after-hours motion alerts that could distinguish a person from a passing shadow, without a human reviewing hours of footage every morning. She needed AI analysis without the data ever actually leaving her own network, and wasn't sure that was technically possible until she spoke with AION Networks.
AION deployed on-device AI analysis directly on UniFi hardware at each store, processing video locally so footage never left the building's own network to reach any external cloud service. The system flagged genuine after-hours activity in real time and sent an alert with a short clip, while raw footage remained stored entirely on-site under the business's own control.
The operations director got exactly the intelligent monitoring she wanted, with a straightforward answer to any question about where the footage goes: nowhere. AION continues to maintain the on-device AI system across all store locations under an ongoing service agreement.
