Start with the thing that annoys you every day.

Somebody gets woken at three in the morning because the cat got shut in the kitchen and the alarm did what alarms do. Somebody else gets out of the car in the rain, twice a day, to open a gate. In an office, reception answers the same five questions from nine until five. Complaints like these rarely arrive with a technology attached. Nobody asks for an automation server. They ask why the building will not leave them alone.

Usually each system is just doing its own job in isolation. A camera reports movement. An alarm panel reports a contact opening, and neither one knows what the other just saw, so the building can react but it cannot judge. Architecture first, technology second: AION finds where that judgement is missing and builds a layer that reasons across the equipment you already own.

What that layer turns out to be depends on the problem. A small appliance in your rack can take over detection for an existing camera system, handling up to 1,800 smart detection events an hour without anything leaving the building. A gate can be told to open only when the number plate and the face behind the wheel agree. An alarm can pull a frame from the nearest camera, read it, and work out that the intruder is the cat before it wakes the street. Routine phone and email questions, bookings included, can be answered without anyone picking up. Equipment from different manufacturers can be wired together until it behaves as one system.

Those are illustrations, not a menu. If the thing wearing you down is not on that list, describe it at the survey anyway. Built to order is the normal case here, not the exception.

All of it runs on hardware inside the building. Footage, door logs and the questions your residents ask stay where they were generated, and making sense of them does not mean posting a copy to somebody else's analytics cloud.

AI is the part of a system most likely to drift. A camera that never moves can sit on its original settings for years, but a detection rule or an assistant answering people in your name goes stale as the building changes around it, so somebody has to keep noticing and correcting.
