UniFi's Whole-Home WiFi 7 Aims at the Plug-and-Play Home Market

Ubiquiti's new Whole-Home WiFi line takes a different approach for UniFi: a home WiFi system built around the UniFi Express 7, designed explicitly to compete with consumer mesh kits on setup simplicity, not just on capability.
Setup that doesn't need a networking background
There's no mandatory app and nothing to configure by hand, a real departure from UniFi's usual enthusiast-first reputation. Homeowners get enterprise-grade WiFi 7 hardware that behaves like a consumer product to set up, while it runs simultaneous 5 GHz and 6 GHz multi-link operation underneath for consistent, low-latency coverage as a client roams between rooms.
Coverage that grows without a redesign
Adding coverage just means adding more Express 7 nodes, with no manual reconfiguration required. Roaming across devices stays seamless, and Channel AI steers the network onto the best-performing spectrum automatically.
Homeowners get the same wired-like coverage AION already delivers on larger residential and condominium projects, just sized for a single-family home instead of a whole building.
Advanced controls, still there if you want them
For anyone who wants more, the full UniFi Network app is underneath it all: deep performance metrics, custom integrations, and one-click adoption of additional switches, outdoor APs, or 5G backup connectivity. That's the same principle behind how AION designs every deployment. Something that just works for the people living or working in the building, while the network stays fully configurable for whoever manages it.
Built for managing more than one home
The line ties into the UniFi Travel Router for a secured connection on the road, and into Site Manager's fleet-management tooling, flexible team permissions, global logs, zero-touch provisioning, built for running many customer networks from one place. That's the same multi-site oversight property management groups and portfolio owners need as they add locations.
