Network 10.6 Adds Topology Spotlight and Safer Config Changes

UniFi Network 10.6 is focused on making large, multi-site deployments easier to reason about: faster to troubleshoot, safer to change, and clearer to assess for resilience. No new licenses required.
Cutting through a crowded topology map
The headline feature is Topology Spotlight. An administrator can now focus on one group of clients and let Network automatically fade out everything unrelated.
For real estate management firms running multiple condominium units across the country, the new Topology Spotlight view reduces visual complexity for faster troubleshooting across every site, instead of scrolling through a map that's grown unreadable as the portfolio has grown.
More history, less manual tuning
Time Machine now covers radios and switch ports, giving quick access to historical performance data and AP or port events without digging through raw logs. Channel AI can now re-optimize WiFi channels automatically overnight rather than only on manual trigger, a small change that keeps larger properties running well without anyone having to remember to check.
Config changes that can't strand a site
The change worth calling out most is the SafeOps expansion. Management VLAN changes are now covered by the same test-and-confirm rollback protection already used for other configuration pushes.
With Network 10.6, our clients can now reduce operational risk with automatic configuration rollback protection. A mistyped VLAN ID during a firewall-zone change can no longer strand a device outside management reach, because the network reverts automatically to the last working configuration.
Knowing the state of every site, not assuming it
Site Manager also gains a Drift Inspector for Blueprints, which makes it easy to spot approved configuration exceptions and catch deviations from a standard across multiple sites. A new High Availability Readiness Score gives an instant read on whether ISP, power, and gateway single points of failure have actually been eliminated. For a portfolio spanning many buildings, that's the difference between assuming every site is configured consistently and knowing it.
